Welcome to the Gunn Memorial Public Library

The library houses more than 40,000 volumes plus online access to virtually unlimited resources through the new Polaris inter-library network of the  Hyconeechee Regional System.

 

News / Announcements:

The Gunn Memorial Public Library received two technology grants totaling $45,787:

  •  The State Library of North Carolina awarded $37,735 for the purchase of new and advanced technology.

  • The Danville Regional Foundation provided $8,052 for matching funds as required by the grant.

These funds were used to purchase new and replacement public access computers, laptops for basic computer classes, a new microfilm reader for genealogy research, color printer / scanner for public use, desks, and this website!

 

Mission Statement:

The Library’s purpose is to promote the communication of ideas, and enlightened citizenship and enriched personal lives, to serve as a center of reliable information, and to support the educational, civic and cultural activities of the community.
