SALARY: Regular Rate - $32,400
Receive all requests for clients eligible to receive medical transportation services, verify eligibility by accessing the NC Fast screen, complete transportation referrals and gas vouchers, log all transportation referrals daily, document each transaction onto the case documentation form and attach copies, and maintain accurate and complete documentation in the record. Educate clients about transportation resources and how to use them appropriately. Notify the supervisor and client of possible misuse of transportation services. Assist with the compilation of various reports concerning the utilization of transportation services, and assist with verification of bills received from the transportation providers. Assist with the review of transportation bills for accuracy. Provide clerical support with completing monthly transportation logs. Assist with maintaining monthly data of each funding program. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Graduation from high school and demonstrate possession of knowledge, skills, and abilities gained through at least two years of office assistant/secretarial experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of community resources and ability to access the resources; skill in typing (computer), filing, and organizing; skills in basic mathematical calculation; ability to record and maintain records, and compile information; ability to establish a rapport and relate to the public.
